Drishtidosham Chalachithravedi functions as the cinema collective of the Pazhassi Raja Smaraka Granthalayam in Mananthavady.
The society was founded to introduce audiences in Mananthavady and surrounding regions to classic, artistic, and parallel traditions of world cinema. Through curated screenings and post-show discussions, Drishtidosham nurtures film literacy and critical appreciation as an extension of the library's cultural and social role.
In 2024, Drishtidosham launched the inaugural Pazhassi Short Film Festival (PSFF) to create an authentic, competitive big-screen showcase for independent short filmmakers. After successfully concluding Season 01 (2024) and Season 02 (2025), the collective is currently hosting Season 03 (2026).
